Did you know that since ancient times, the kimono, from Japan and China (in its earliest versions), is a piece of clothing that changes its shape, pattern, and fabric depending on your social position, sex, age or marital status? In Western countries, for many years now, we have adapted the kimono and turned it into a versatile garment, which can be used both out (as outerwear or as a jacket), as well as at home, as a coverall or bathrobe. We have even transferred it to special occasions such as weddings, where it acts almost as one extra piece of bridal lingerie, customizing it and placing embroidery and ornaments to make it fancier for the bride and bridesmaids while preparing for the great event.

Once again, I have the pleasure of collaborating with the Dutch lingerie brand Hunkemöller to bring you new ideas to style their garments, which as might know if you have seen previous posts, they have everything from bikinis and swimsuits to sports and training clothes, as well as lingerie and accessories of all kinds.

This time, I chose as the main piece for this collaboration the red satin Jennifer kimono which has lace in its sleeves, and two pairs of super fluffy socks to be at home, in gray and white. The kimono has a medium length, finishing near the hips, and I thought it was a great idea both to wear it as homewear (I think it will be a fantastic piece when the period between seasons arrives since the satin makes it quite light and fresh), as to use as outerwear, with a bra or top underneath as a cardigan, since it is very elegant and the red color makes it quite dressy and fabulous.


As for the socks, I am a huge fan of those pairs which are super fluffy and colorful. They're great and super cozy to work at home, and as they are quite difficult to find, when I saw them on the Hunkemöller website, I didn't think twice and decided to add them to my basket.

¿Sabías que desde tiempos ancestrales, el kimono, proveniente de Japón y China (en sus versiones más tempranas), es una pieza de vestuario que cambia su forma, estampado, tejido y hechura dependiendo de tu posición social, sexo, edad o estado civil? En Occidente, desde hace ya muchos años, hemos adaptado el kimono y lo hemos convertido en una prenda versátil, que se puede utilizar tanto fuera de casa (a modo de prenda exterior o chaqueta), como en el interior, a modo de sobretodo o albornoz. Incluso, lo hemos trasladado a ocasiones especiales como las bodas, donde actúa casi como una pieza más de lencería de novia, personalizándolo y colocándole bordados y adornos para vestirlo por ésta y su séquito mientras se preparan para el gran evento.

Una vez más, tengo el placer de colaborar con la marca de lencería holandesa Hunkemöller para traeros nuevas ideas para vestir sus prendas, que como ya sabréis si habéis visto otros posts anteriores, tienen desde bikinis y bañadores, hasta ropa deportiva y de entrenamiento, pasando por lencería y accesorios de todo tipo.

Esta vez, escogí como pieza fuerte para esta colaboración el kimono Jennifer de satén  rojo con encaje en las mangas, y dos pares de calcetines super mullidos para estar por casa, en color gris y blanco. El kimono tiene un largo medio, como por la cadera, y me pareció una idea genial tanto para llevar por casa (creo que va a ser una pieza fantástica cuando llegue el entretiempo, ya que el satén lo hace bastante ligero y fresco), como para utilizar como ropa de calle, con un sujetador o top debajo a modo de cárdigan, ya que es muy elegante y el color rojo hace que tenga muchísimo protagonismo en cualquier outfit.

En cuanto a los calcetines, soy muy fan de los que son peluditos y de colores. Para trabajar desde casa son geniales, y son bastante difíciles de encontrar, así que, cuando los vi en la web de Hunkemöller, no me lo pensé dos veces y decidí añadirlos a la cesta.

I feel like I’ve lost track of time posting in the blog, but I felt like I needed to work on some content, or at least an outfit that was really worth sharing to publish a new article around here. And I think the day has finally come. Today I bring a new collaboration with Dutch underwear and lingerie brand, Hunkemöller.

Once again, I was offered a collaboration with the brand to show you their new collection of ideal lingerie, in addition to the wide variety of clothing pieces suitable for almost all sizes in sportswear, beachwear and accessories that they have this season. This time, I wanted to "innovate" a little bit, and I chose to address their corset and bodysuits section with a clear idea in mind: get to incorporate one of their underwear garments into a more or less everyday style, and which could also be worn as outwerwear. At first I thought it might be impossible and I was really tempted to get something more ordinary, like more pajamas to add to my collection but then I thought, and why not?

In the end, I went for a black faux leather body with a sweetheart neckline that is very easy to put on top of blouses, shirts and T-shirts. It has a semi-transparent laced back that looks amazing to overlap with a bralette, or with a looser blouse. For this outfit I combined it with a pencil skirt of the same material and I got sort of a dress-effect that I think is very close to the real deal when wearing a faux leather dress, and quite casual. In order to not overdo it, instead of high heels or high shoes, I decided to put on some sneakers and combine the Hunkemöller body and other white and black elements with the red print of the bag as the only color.

Siento que he perdido la noción del tiempo de publicación en el blog, pero necesitaba trabajar un contenido, o por lo menos, algún outfit que realmente valiese la pena compartir para publicar un nuevo artículo por aquí. Y creo que por fín, ha llegado el día. Hoy traigo una nueva colaboración con la marca holandesa de ropa interior y lencería, Hunkemöller.

De nuevo, me ofrecieron colaborar con la marca para mostraros su nueva colección de lencería ideal, además de la cantidad de propuestas aptas para casi todas las tallas de ropa deportiva, de baño y accesorios que tienen esta temporada. Esta vez, quise "innovar" un poco, y opté por dirigirme a la sección de corsetería y bodys con una idea en mente bastante clara: lograr incorporar una de sus prendas de ropa interior a un estilismo más o menos cotidiano, y que ésta también pudiera llevarse como pieza de ropa exterior. Al principio pensé que quizá sería una temeridad y me sentí tentada a pedir algo mucho más cotidiano, como más pijamas que añadir a mi colección pero luego pensé, ¿y por qué no?

Al final, opté por un body de polipiel de color negro con escote de corazón que resulta muy sencillo de combinar encima de blusas, camisas y camisetas. Lleva una espalda lazada semitransparente que es ideal para realizar superposiciones con algún bralette, o con una blusa más suelta. Para este outfit lo combiné con una falda lápiz del mismo material y más o menos se consigue un efecto vestido que creo que queda muy logrado y bastante "arreglado pero informal". Para no recargar demasiado, en lugar de tacones o zapatos altos, decidí ponerme unas deportivas y combinar el body de Hunkemöller y los demás elementos blancos y negros con el estampado rojo del bolso como único color.

I've been training fencing since I was 16, and although the competition rules require us to wear very specific clothing (which must be strictly white, with special protections and under strict security controls to ensure no one gets hurt), one of the things I love about this sport is that, whenever we're out of the piste and go into the training hall, we can wear the sportswear in which we feel more comfortable to perform the specific exercises of this sport.

Llevo practicando esgrima desde que tenía 16 años y, aunque el reglamento para competición nos exige llevar una vestimenta muy específica (blanca, con protecciones especiales y bajo estrictos controles de seguridad para garantizar que nadie se haga daño), una de las cosas que me encanta de este deporte es que, cuando entrenamos en sala, podemos llevar la ropa deportiva con la que más cómodas nos sintamos para realizar ejercicios más o menos específicos de este deporte.

Por eso, recurro de nuevo a Hunkemöller, esta vez con su línea deportiva, que cuenta con un montón de opciones diferentes para todas nosotras, desde sujetadores deportivos hasta gadgets y otros accesorios como bolsas, botellitas de agua (¡esta es de plástico duro casi indestructible, me encanta!), neceseres, y un montón de cosas más para aportarle un poco de glamour a nuestras sesiones de entrenamiento.

En mi caso, además de la botellita de agua, imprescindible para el entrenamiento y competiciones, escogí este top deportivo corto de tejido técnico tipo neopreno para estos primeros días de temporada, donde solemos hacer estiramientos y algunos ejercicios en la playa o cerca, y donde en una ciudad como Valencia, todavía hace bastante calor. Me encanta cómo sienta, es cómodo y permite que una pueda moverse libremente en un deporte de alto impacto como es la esgrima.

El tejido es gruesecito, así que no transparenta y estoy segura de que se va a convertir en una de esas piezas imprescindibles del cajón de la ropa de entrenar, porque es de esa clase de prendas con un lavado y cuidado facilísimo (ni siquiera hace falta plancharlo, a diferencia de la gran mayoría de mi equipación, donde los pantalones deportivos y de chándal se llevan el premio a moradores perpetuos del montón de “cosas para planchar”).

Así que, si estás pensando en añadir ropa nueva para entrenar a tu armario, Hunkemöller es una buena opción donde poder encontrar esas mallas, sujetador o incluso, calcetines para enfrentar la nueva temporada con más ganas que nunca.

Today I'm bringing in a post just a bit out of the usual. For two different reasons. The first one is that, as you may have already noticed, we have a sort-of-mirror-post, which is written both in English and Spanish. The second is that you know I'm not very into sharing photos of me with little clothes, which today changes with this fun white lace Hunkemöller cover up from their Doutzen's Summer Stories.

Although I admit I'm a die-hard fan of swimsuits and push up bikinis as clothing in which live 24 hours a day in Summer-time  (and besides, there are lots which fit pretty nicely). So, when Hunkemöller offered me the opportunity to collaborate with them as a blogger, I decided to go for this light cover up to throw over my two-piece bikini because I thought it was different than usual. It is difficult to find something comfy, light and pretty in which you can put a foot on the beach without burning yourself, or wear it above your Summer attire when you're not at the water or you'd had enough sunbath for the day, but this one really caught my eye on their website, and I just thought... Why not?

One of the things that I liked most about hearing about Hunkemöller has been that they have a huge variety not only of patterns available but also plenty of sizes. It does not matter if you are looking for Brazilian-cut bikini panties or larger sizes that maybe, cover a little more or suits better the chest so eventually, the back doesn't hurt. If like me, you are someone that has a size above 40 or L in the bottom because you are a happy-wide-hip girl and then there's your booty, but on the other hand, your bra size is quite small: nothing happens! They have an infinity of possible combinations that adapt to all of us at a budget-friendly price. No more suffering at the bikini challenge and, skin showing already!

Hoy os traigo un post un poco fuera de lo habitual. Por dos motivos diferentes. El primero es que, como habréis podido observar en un primer momento, es que tenemos post-espejo, es decir: escrito tanto en inglés como en español. El segundo es que, sabéis que no soy muy aficionada a compartir fotos mías con poca ropa, cosa que hoy cambia con esta túnica tan divertida de encaje blanco de Hunkemöller, de su colección Doutzen's Summer Stories.
