Urban chic outfit ideas with Shein

One of the things that I have noticed the most once I put my feet back again in Valencia, and with my recent return home from Italy is that, although Florence is a medium-large city (it was the capital of the country not too long ago, from 1865 to 1870), and despite being the birthplace of the European and probably worldwide fashion culture, the pace that this city has in comparison to Valencia is not the same at all. Valencia feels much more urban, less anchored in the past. And I've noticed this a lot in the way I dress here and there, now that I'm still mentally a bit between one place and the other.

That is why, once again, I have counted on with the invaluable help of Shein team to help me create three different outfits with some sort of chic-urban inspiration and to help me adapt myself again to the stylish path in Valencia, where a much more fast rhythm is needed. Where it is necessary to go running to a meeting at the university or a talk and a couple of hours later attend a fashion show like #PasarelaBarreira. Let's get started then with 3 urban-chic street style ideas to wear this coming Spring-Summer season with Shein!

#1 The see-through & lace romper

This pink romper with lace appliques and sheer details caught my eye as soon as I saw it at Shein. I sized down a little bit, as I got my measurements and instead of ordering an L which is my regular size at Shein, I decided to order an M. I'm pretty happy on how the measurements turned, but I still think the fit isn't 100% right for me. Maybe, I could have used a couple more cm on the hips and a couple of cm less in the bust area, and although the romper is lovely and very cute, I feel that it's way too short for me. I don't really feel like I could wear this romper out in public, not because of the see-through part but because if you put your arms up, your lower part might feel a bit, let's say compromised.

However, I still feel like a romper like this is a great idea to wear in a warm weather area or city near the sea as Valencia, as you could wear it maybe with your bikini or swimsuit underneath and it's only one piece that you have to remove to swim or lay in the sun.

#2 The alternative laser-cut top

On the other hand, this fitted red top with laser cut neck and shoulders is perfect. I love garments which have different touches and details, which have been made from technical fabrics or which have passed through different than the habitual manufacturing procedures. The color in this top is vibrant, the fabric isn't see-through at all, and the zip on the back of the neck makes it comfortable enough to wear it on a daily basis with a skirt or a pair of jeans for a more out-of-duty style.

In this case, I wore this for a regular day at the campus, where I had to run a couple miles up and down different floors and staircases.

#3 Black skort to assemble a total black outfit

It's actually quite the weird thing seeing me on a total black outfit, although I love the idea of it! I think the key to wearing a successful total black outfit is besides having a key and bold accessory giving all the touch of color to the assemble, is supporting the outfit on pieces you feel comfortable on and that fit you as a glove. For this total black outfit, I chose to keep it pretty minimal and make everything gravitate around this Shein black skort, which has super clean lines and fits amazingly, as the fabric has a bit of stretch on its material.

This one as well is a nice idea to stroll around a city like Valencia while keeping it chic but minimal. We might not be very used to super high fashion around here, but we know how to put our outfits to make an impression!
