I can't believe Summer is almost over! Even though I've experienced a rare Summer season going up and down at the little town with my internship, it's been a great experience and I've kept my mind super busy while feeling very useful! Now that I'm soon to be leaving to another country to finish my degree, I've got to appreciate what an opportunity this Summer has been to learn new things and secure that little knowledge I had beforehand so I can give 200% in Italy. They say you'll never know your limits until you push yourself to them. I've not only learnt a lot about my field of expertise and technical stuff this holidays, but I've also learnt a lot about myself: what kind of things I'm pursuing and a bit more of who I am now and who I want to be. Perks of spending a lot of time on my own in bus transfers and spare weekends I think.

So, after some deep meditation, here are some of the conclusions I've come to this Summer, and why I think you should start putting into practice right now:

#1 It's okay not not being okay
A couple of years ago I suffered a massive sort of breakup who left me shattered and for a while, without allowing me being my true self. I tried so, so hard to recover and be okay as fast as possible that I lost myself. I didn't know who I was anymore. I failed lots of subjects at uni. I hurt someone who didn't deserve it at all. I kind of lost track of my life because I was only focused in pretending that nothing happened and that I was okay.

Don't worry. Cry if you feel like you need to. Stop for a while. Take it easy and go one step at a time. Life goes on, and eventually, it all will work out.

#2 Say sorry before it's too late (but only to the ones who truly deserve it)
No comments here. There are people in our lives who deserve our apologies, and some not, like, at all. Learn to say sorry to the firsts.

#3 Speak your mind out loud
I have realized that I've become lately a very combative person: friendly or not, I must argue and always say my opinion of everything that falls in my hands. There may be people who might like what I say or think, and some not, but that won't stop me of saying it out loud and expressing myself. Lately that has led me to some minor home arguments but I assume those are perks of growing up and the desire of breaking free.

  2. This is a really gorgeous LBD and like the sheer detail. Really like the way you have done your makeup here, like the blue eyeliner with the bold lip. Beautiful.
