As some of you might know from my latest blog entries, I'm currently working on a tiny local studio while getting my Master's Degree in Architecture by designing from scratch my final project. What some of you might not know is that my work basically consists of being sort of an archivist, helping classifying super old documents and huge beautiful vintage floor plans among illustrated books and other treasures carrying years and years of local Valencia history. Some friends have already joked about me being the architecture guardian of the eclectic.

I didn't know the real meaning of the word "eclectic" until I started this position I'm currently in, and now, I can't help but say how obsessed I've become with this term and its essence, which is basically in every single building and corner built in the first decades of 20th Century in Valencia, which is also one of my favorite historical eras in so many aspects. Being eclectic means taking the best or most representative clues of lots of different eras and putting them all together to make something new and sensational. new and sensational. Now those crazy outfits I used to put together mixing with regular today pieces (and which I still do) make sense in my mind and finally have a tag. I think this cropped top from Shein which is as millennial as I am together with this vintage A-line skirt couldn't get any more eclectic. It's basically balancing together the new and the antique, fashionably talking too.

So, I encourage you as always to get inspiration from the unexpected, from design, from architecture, from the textures in the daily clouds and the people you walk through every day. You don't know where you can find your next go-to term!

Before the magic of the show happens, there's a lot of previous hard work. Stress, races, fittings to check on the last minute details and make sure everything will be perfect out there at the stage. Last week I had the chance not only attending to #CHAPELLESUMMER launch party, but also being a witness hours before the show of what happened around. I wasn't actually a big part of the staff, actually: there were makeup artists who did the makeup on the models, there were professional photographers who took pictures of everything, so I just was an extra hand in case somebody needed help.

So, there we were, almost three hours before the show started, getting outfits ready, preparing that lovely board with the hashtag of the event (did it myself, can't you see? Hehe), establishing an order for the models to come out (which I must say I didn't get into, but looked like a real engineering work), filling the seat posters with the attendants... I could see with my own eyes that behind all that glamour and lights at the show, there're tons and hours of work and lots of people who put a lot of effort on getting everything prepared. Who would have said the real show is actually behind the scenes?

When everything was finally settled about two hours after, after some test shoots (looks like my shiny jeweled headband was a nice resource to practice with the focus and cameras, so I had to stay around, of course) I went upstairs where the catwalk was going to be held, and I finally prepared my blogger stuff: camera and its lens, put my not-to-run-on-a-rush high heels and helped handing around the public and guests the show programs. I'm really happy it all turned well, all the possible unexpected things which could had happened didn't happen, and that I could see first hand the whole the process of the fashion show in both perspectives: as an assistant and as a fashion blogger.

The thing I hate the most when preparing for a trip is figuring out what I'm carrying with me. Not the whole packing ritual itself, but looking at weather reports weeks far away (which we know they're totally terrible and unreliable at all) so I can figure out if I must take with me tons of warm and cozy sweaters, or pack the most comfortable shorts and sneakers. That's the funny thing that happened to me when going to our trip to Extremadura some weeks ago. Weather totally fooled me, and I ended packing my most dressy, spring trip outfits to find that it was cold and rainy the whole week I was out home. The coziest thing I took with me was this COS sweater with a front faux leather piece, and it wasn't even close the best idea to wear.

That's the story behind this outfit, which I see like the most rare and bloguerish outfit I've ever worn. I'm wearing a long, straight and dressy neoprene dress, with my everyday flats, a casual sweatshirt and a lent raincoat with a bag I usually wear on summer. The weirdest ever. Comfortable to do some sightseeing on this unique place which is Salamanca, but never again! Next time I'll take my umbrella and sneakers. Thanks we found this car history museum and got some rain shelter for a while and also took some funny pictures around there.

For all of you who are already following #somethingfashion on Instagram, you might know that I'm working like a crazy thing on my final project for this year and I'm very busy! I started my workaholic mood about month and a half ago, and I haven't stopped doing things, working on floor plans, models, volumes and images since then. Final exams and deliveries are coming, and that means a little hiatus mode, but you know I'll always be procrastinating at IG, so go see what's up there and say hi :)
