I've been training fencing since I was 16, and although the competition rules require us to wear very specific clothing (which must be strictly white, with special protections and under strict security controls to ensure no one gets hurt), one of the things I love about this sport is that, whenever we're out of the piste and go into the training hall, we can wear the sportswear in which we feel more comfortable to perform the specific exercises of this sport.

Llevo practicando esgrima desde que tenía 16 años y, aunque el reglamento para competición nos exige llevar una vestimenta muy específica (blanca, con protecciones especiales y bajo estrictos controles de seguridad para garantizar que nadie se haga daño), una de las cosas que me encanta de este deporte es que, cuando entrenamos en sala, podemos llevar la ropa deportiva con la que más cómodas nos sintamos para realizar ejercicios más o menos específicos de este deporte.

Por eso, recurro de nuevo a Hunkemöller, esta vez con su línea deportiva, que cuenta con un montón de opciones diferentes para todas nosotras, desde sujetadores deportivos hasta gadgets y otros accesorios como bolsas, botellitas de agua (¡esta es de plástico duro casi indestructible, me encanta!), neceseres, y un montón de cosas más para aportarle un poco de glamour a nuestras sesiones de entrenamiento.

En mi caso, además de la botellita de agua, imprescindible para el entrenamiento y competiciones, escogí este top deportivo corto de tejido técnico tipo neopreno para estos primeros días de temporada, donde solemos hacer estiramientos y algunos ejercicios en la playa o cerca, y donde en una ciudad como Valencia, todavía hace bastante calor. Me encanta cómo sienta, es cómodo y permite que una pueda moverse libremente en un deporte de alto impacto como es la esgrima.

El tejido es gruesecito, así que no transparenta y estoy segura de que se va a convertir en una de esas piezas imprescindibles del cajón de la ropa de entrenar, porque es de esa clase de prendas con un lavado y cuidado facilísimo (ni siquiera hace falta plancharlo, a diferencia de la gran mayoría de mi equipación, donde los pantalones deportivos y de chándal se llevan el premio a moradores perpetuos del montón de “cosas para planchar”).

Así que, si estás pensando en añadir ropa nueva para entrenar a tu armario, Hunkemöller es una buena opción donde poder encontrar esas mallas, sujetador o incluso, calcetines para enfrentar la nueva temporada con más ganas que nunca.

The brown color is for me a shade I mostly associate to late Autumn season and cold months. When it's Summer and I'm on vacation, I almost feel like I must wear vibrant colors, fun prints with flowers and similar motifs. It may be because it is very warm and there is a lot of sunlight, I'm not really sure. I liked this skater dress from brand Almatrichi in particular because it's made of a very light cotton neoprene. Truth is that the high buttoned neck is a bit overwhelming but, nevertheless, it's still a very light and comfortable dress even being brown. It's still that great Summery dress to wear on holidays and around the beach promenade!

I'm experimenting a bit with the colors I'm wearing this Summer, and I'm also trying to lighten my usual makeup a bit. There's nothing that bothers me more than getting home with that annoying cake-effect on my face due to makeup excess, so, I'm trying to mix my regular on-the-go makeup foundation with moisturizer in a 50%-50% proportion, and avoid extras as powder or blush. My pores need a bit of rest! I think it is a winning combination that can be appreciated in these ootd pictures, although it is true that the heat of the season is causing a bit of madness and imbalance in the quality of my skin. Acne, rednesses and other imperfections in my skin are there, and it is important to accept them and even if I hide them with makeup, recognize that I have those skin problems and that sometimes these things happen.

My conclusion today is that Summer is a wonderful time to experiment and make some changes!

Found this pictures today around the laptop, and couldn't believe I didn't share them before. Maybe they've been around since before last summer holidays, but I don't really know why I didn't post them before. I think we took this pictures about a year ago in the beach of Oropesa. I can't see the moment of coming back there for summer holidays to chill and feel the sun and the sand on my skin! It's close but, not closer enough as it's only a month away for exams and college stuff to finish. Duh.

Being honest, I'm not able to remember where those Nine West brocade slippers I'm wearing on the pictures ended. I remember they hurt my feet like hell (my fault. I bought them the wrong size) so maybe they're deep, deep inside my closet on a box with huge, red "CAUTION" letters on it. I don't usually lose pieces of clothing. I lose sight of them sometimes, but they always return to me when I don't need them or I'm not searching like a crazy thing. I can say I'm a real mess with things, specially class things as I'm always working around with tons of plans, papers, markers and drawing stuff. But I do organize really well my closet so I can see in every moment what's there. So, I'll let you know what happened to this pair of shoes when I find them.

The outfit it's not a big deal as it's a total black outfit filled with this golden trousers found seasons ago at Zara, and which have become a real basic I wear a lot. I even bought them in silver because they're comfortable and really cool.

New Year's day. I know it's a bit late to show you this pictures we shot on 1st January, but classes are starting again, there're lots of projects I want to start, lots of pictures and new posts coming, so I thought this was the right moment to show you this interesting pics we shoot on the beach.

Actually, it's not really common on our family to go out for lunch at New Year's, but this day was an exception, and we went to a restaurant to eat together, which was fun because the beach was very empty (it was so cold! Urban legends saying that in Spain is always hot and we walk in our flip-flops all the year round it's mainly false, folks), so we took advantage and shot this pictures.

As you know I've been a little ill these days, stuck at home watching series and reading like there was no tomorrow, so whenever I went out I wanted to get dressed on a really chic and sparkling way, put on my heels and absolutely rock it!

Seems like I've been seeing lately too much ''Downtown Abbey'', proves of that wearing this lace dress that reminds me a little of the early twentieth century, doesn't it? Being honest, I'm not really sure the Dowager Countess had let me wear those plastic, high heeled sandals...

A little bit of wildness. Summer means for me not only beach and relax, but also change and new things before starting the study period once again. This V-neck bodysuit is a great example, I think it belongs to a style I never tried before but which adds a bit of wildness and that casual touch to the outfit. Bye bye to knee length 50's style dresses with petticoat skirts (at least today). Say hi to a more mature, versatile look which you'll be able to wear on a peaceful afternoon out, or a cool night out! Doesn't this white asymmetrical skirt from H&M a mermaid or fishtail?

These shooting was pretty funny, because although the beach was almost empty, this didn't prevent people staring and looking a bit weird at me. Even someone asked me if I was famous and I was doing some professional shooting (?). This are the typical things you enjoy telling about to your friends, with a cup of healthy cold colorful infusion and some cookies around. Very nice to say bye-bye to summer!

Simplicity. It's the word that's always in my mind when creating an outfit. It doesn't matter where you're going, or what you're going to do: I must wear things that catches people's eye, but without overdoing it. You already know me pretty well, and you know that I'm not very much into neon colors. But when I saw this yellow neon top from Zara, and its plain shape I couldn't resist. It also came from sales, so its price was quite good.

As it was so simple, I though it would be easy to combine with almost any other garment. The other thing I was unsure about this outfit were the colors: yellow and black. I don't really like this combination, because I always feel like a bee (and I've seen lots of girls looking like they were wearing a costume. Argh!), but I think if you're a bit smart and you put together the right things, you won't look like an insect. That's what I tried to do. And it seems like it worked.

Because the shirt is enough startling, I didn't want to put so many things. I bought this necklace from Zara too, it's from the new A/W collection. It's sparkling and very flamboyant, but I'm sure it was the piece I needed to complete this outfit. I think it makes this look catchy, but still simple and wearable on afternoon or a night out.

As you may know, I've spent this last week on ''El Perelló'', a beach town near the city where I live. It's been great, because I've spent hours on the beach (you can see what were my views from the terrace below!) and I've took lots of pictures (you'll see them soon). Now I'm on Valencia again waiting for the University to start. Yay! I'm so excited.

Already on Valencia again. I'm still not home, because I'm spending some of my latest holiday days with my family in ''El Perelló'', a beach town very near the city, but with the beach just under my window. It's amazing to stay here although there's nothing very interesting to do, apart from lying down all morning in the sun and doing some DIY projects.

This pictures weren't actually taken here. These come from Oropesa last week, also on the beach but on the last night I spent there. There are many typical beach stands there, so I took some time to go around there and get some cool stuff such bracelets and necklaces. The bracelet I'm wearing actually comes from there. It's a real nacre bracelet, maybe too fragile for being on my clumsy hands, but I still love it and wear it very carefully.

I thought this was the perfect dress to wear for a walk near the seashore. Finally everybody looked at me as I was an oompah-loompah or something like that (maybe too elegant?) but I was too comfy with my Mango tail dress. It's light, and the colors matched quite well the ambient there: a soft ombre effect with blue and white shades, but a color splash with that pink on the upper part. The heels come from Pepe Moreno. I think they're very original, and also comfortable to walk in. Seems like transparent things have had their moment this season (also the asymmetric or tail dresses), so why not try?
