Some can't leave home without putting mascara on. Other's go-to makeup essential is blush or concealer. Mine is lipstick! I can assure you if you ever find me without a lipstick shade on, something wrong is going on. Even when I'm off for trainings at the fencing club or I go for a run, I like to put on some SPF lip gloss or some vaseline to keep them moisten and free of super annoying dead skin. For me, lipstick is what gives color to your face when you are pale as a greek yogurt, which is absolutely my case, LOL.

So, in today's post which will be super brief but significant, I wanted to share with you which are my absolute go-to's when it comes to lip makeup and those I keep buying over and over again here in Firenze. No outfit would be complete without my favorite lipstick shades! I think this TOP 5 of lipstick shades will start from the shade I don't use AS MUCH or so regularly, to little by little go to the ones that I keep restocking over and over again once they're worn out.

#5 MAC Retro matte liquid lipstick in "High Drama"

This was my last lipstick acquisition. I was a total virgin when it came to MAC makeup, but their lipsticks have been an amazing surprise and a great add to my makeup bag. Since I first put foot in Italy, I don't know why, but I've been quite in the mood of wearing darker shades of lipstick! The firsts days here I used to darken my regular red lipstick by adding subtle spots of khôl eyeliner over it. It looked great, but it wasn't the same thing (obviously) as wearing a dark shade of lipstick (my lips would get a bit drier while doing so).

Although I love it, I feel like I must follow a super strict ritual before wearing this one on, for it to not dry, get cracked or even stain my teeth. Before wearing the MAC retro matte I would always exfoliate my lips either with the Lush Bubblegum lip scrub and then add a little bit of vaseline (I use Letibalm, but Carmex or any similar one would also work). Then, proceed to carefully line with the lipstick and then fill everything!

#4 Kat Von D everlasting liquid lipstick in "Santa Sangre"

I got this one as a mini-size in my last trip to Sephora before going back to Spain for Christmas Holidays. This lipstick came with the Kat Von D tattoo-liner which I was super excited to try (I've already finished it and I can't wait to restock it, LOL). And it's quite nice! I don't know if I would buy it in it's regular size, because I'm into more creamy formulas (this one's matte and I feel like even though it lasts pretty amazingly, it lets the lips too dried out) and it looks too orangey in me. But still, the "Santa Sangre" is a nice shade, great for those days when you know you'll have to deal with tons of stuff and the time for a makeup retouch is uncertain. 

#3 Chanel "Lune Rousse" rouge

This has been my favorite dark shade of lipstick for a while, and that one I wear when I'm looking for a more vampy or edgy look. Although it looks quite dark on the tube, it actually isn't, and once put in the lips it looks more like a burgundy kind of shade. I've have had this one for almost 2-3 years now because I don't wear it AS MUCH as I do with the regular reds, but still, it's one of my favorites E-V-E-R, as the pigmentation is great, the color super vibrant and it doesn't move on your lips once put. Still, it's the kind of lipstick that leaves a mark whenever you kiss someone, so be careful with it! :P

Colored eyeliners and pleated skirts. Those are two things I been really lusting for recently. Both of them remind me of summer, beach and staying up late. We shot this pictures before leaving to the Netherlands, so now that seems like I got a bit more suntanned (hehe) and I stopped being that pale, colored eyeliners and crazy makeups on my face looks like lots of fun, and super exotic I must say! I've been collecting different shades of eyeliners and playing with them lately, but I think my favorite ever is this metallic blue. I think blue looks great on dark eyes!

Also let's talk about pleated skirts. Maxi, midi or short, I love them on all their shapes and lengths. I must confess I'm not really into them for winter but I think they're the best match for summer, though! They're light and easy to pair with tank tops and swimwear. Total must pieces at the beach town house, where I spend the most of the time hanging out to the swimming pool. I'm able to spend there almost all the day and be happy like a little clam. Being on the town is a retreat from the world, believe me.

By the by, looking at this pictures I've realized that I must take a bit of more care to my hair! It's been totally crazy, curled and frizzy since I came back from my trip, even more you can see on the pictures. You can't imagine my morning wars everyday at Amsterdam trying to tame that. Any hair styling products or ideas anyone? Would be super appreciated!

Sometimes I just like to go outside and enjoy the amazing weather on Valencia. Have a walk, take some pictures, enjoy window shopping and just got dressed and get myself pampered just for fun. I recommend to go out, get some fresh air and enjoy the streets because every time you go out of home, it would be a total different place.

As my trip to Netherlands was going to be almost 10 day long (in fact, I'm still here enjoying so much architecture that my exhausted body can't hold it...) I wanted to shoot this outfit, following the plain color outfits made with dresses I've been wearing lately. I like yellow because it's super bright, super fun and belongs to this palette of colors which really fit my features and specially hair color and skin. This time, despite my daily makeup I went for a slightly vamp look, with velvet lipstick and darker eyes. I think the combination with the bright colors is unexpected and vibrant, isn't it?

Right after the lace-up sandals, there mesh bootie sandals came to streetstyle, and you can't even imagine how comfy they are. These Lodi ones made my day when I found them on sales! I was looking for them since last year or so, but never found them again...

Still on Netherlands, I can't really wait to show you guys some pictures I've been taking around. This country is so beautiful, so eclectic and peaceful that it doesn't feel even real. Hopefully I'll be on Spain on some days and I'll start telling you about my trip! Have fun meanwhile :)

Spanish traditions. As some of you might know, Santa Claus is not really who brings us gifts on Christmas' Eve. Instead of him, we have the ''Reyes Magos'' (''the three wise men'' in English? I'm not really sure) which leave kids toys and gifts for adults on the morning of 6th January. There are parades and lots of typical things we do that night. It's really fun when you're young, or if you have children at home because everybody is shouting really excited and running up and down the house, like ''look at this, look at my new toy''.

Christmas and winter holidays. To all of you who follow me on Twitter and Google+ you may know I've been really busy this last two weeks, and that I've been really excited too for holidays to finally come. It's not about the ''Christmas mood'' around and the ''let it snow, let it snow'' thing. For me, the awesome part of Christmas is having time for my own, time to rest and sleep, read, and forget for a little while that I study really hard.

The cool thing is also that there're a lot of parties, dinners, celebrations everywhere, so why not wear some pretty dresses out there and have fun while putting some sparkly makeup?

So, this is my Christmas ''party'' outfit proposal. Gold dress with some velvet motifs, very festive yet chic and simple! Wore it with some high gloves, a vintage jacket and pointed-toe heels, some makeup in metallic colors and, that's it! You have a breathtaking, vintage inspired and out of the typical Christmas colors (you know: red, green and stars and snow everywhere...) outfit for a great party. In my case I chose it for the Fencing Club dinner. This is just an example of that is really easy to dress nicely for an event and that you'll actually need a little few things. It's not about the dress, or even about the accessories you wear. It's always about the mix, about integrating all the elements as makeup, hair and stuff together. As for me, I wore a new dress but I reinvented all the things I wore before (as the gloves, the little bag, shoes... Which have already be seen on this blog here or here) to give the outfit a total fresh look. Now my questions are...
