I'm not really used to mix different prints nor not pairing something with black or white accessories. Seriously, I have a real problem matching different colors and creating a outfit which doesn't look like I'm a clown. I'm not really much into colorblock trend, I must say.

So, when I don't feel in the mood of taking black or white as connectors so all the outfit makes sense, I just change them for another color. I chose to pair everything with this yellow bag and sandals coord I discovered a while and which I wear a lot. I had this colorful halter dress for years, but as I keep it at the beach town house, I don't really wear it as much as I would like to. As it is really warm during the day, I wore it last afternoon to go out to the Town Hall square to have some iced coffee. I find fascinating how different is living on a town like this and a medium-sized city like Valencia, and how life here is all about the town square and hanging around there.

Now that we're in Summer holidays, I've been working not only on new posts and new styles of fashion blogging (did you see last post about fashion blogging motivation?) but also improving old entries. I think a high quality fashion blog has to stay fresh, nicely updated, and outfit posts are anymore the focus point. So, from now on and until I'll be able to, I'll be trying not only to show you my #lookdujour ideas, but also tips and tutorials, illustrations, more inspiration posts...

SPRING IS ALREADY HERE! After this cold, cloudy, and crazy winter we've had at Valencia (specially last days of the season) just looking for a cup of hot chocolate and staying warm under tons of blankets, looks like the sunlight and nice weather are finally approaching us.

I'm a lucky girl for not having any allergies because of pollen and weather changes, so I find Spring a nice moment to start again with recovered batteries and give the best of you to the world! Sometimes I feel like a teddy bear who just got up from a long nap, but it's what Spring makes me feel. It's finally that time of the year to remove the dust from my bright lipstick colors, start wearing florals and getting rid of some of the lots of layers I wear everyday to finally use fresh and comfortable dresses and skirts.

Following the first inspiration post I did about two months ago which had an incredible reception (THANK YOU ALL!) I thought it may be that time of the year to share some brights, textures and flowers, flowers everywhere!!

Fashion week-esque outfit. Second day of local Fashion Week, and not really passionate about the "streetstyle" around and the general lack of unique style, original pieces, outfits and wannabe teenagers wearing 17cm heels, I decide to reveal against all this and wear this mix inspired by the latest Dolce & Gabanna shows creating a vibrant yet classy interpretation of the shows seen on Milan. Such a lucky girl I felt for finding this D&G neoprene fabric on a local fabric store, and turn it into a DIY circle skirt just in time!

We suffered from a really weird weather during those fashion days, and you could leave home on a super cloudy sky filled with cold air, but then arrive downtown to face that it wasn't raining anymore, and it started being warm again. That didn't make things easy at all. Add spending some hours between show and show, running from here to there, taking pictures while being as aware as possible to every single detail, and you had the perfect "I died because of tiredness" cocktail. It was great, but maybe next season I won't stay all the Fashion Week thing. Anyway, and at least during second day I was still able to wear high heels (as you can see). Some sparkly accessories to achieve that fairytale princess look D&G's been showing, and some black to balance the outfit. Unintentionally I attracted plenty of attraction, I think mostly because of the skirt.

I think that was the day I was spotted as a fashion blogger at first sight.

Colored eyeliners and pleated skirts. Those are two things I been really lusting for recently. Both of them remind me of summer, beach and staying up late. We shot this pictures before leaving to the Netherlands, so now that seems like I got a bit more suntanned (hehe) and I stopped being that pale, colored eyeliners and crazy makeups on my face looks like lots of fun, and super exotic I must say! I've been collecting different shades of eyeliners and playing with them lately, but I think my favorite ever is this metallic blue. I think blue looks great on dark eyes!

Also let's talk about pleated skirts. Maxi, midi or short, I love them on all their shapes and lengths. I must confess I'm not really into them for winter but I think they're the best match for summer, though! They're light and easy to pair with tank tops and swimwear. Total must pieces at the beach town house, where I spend the most of the time hanging out to the swimming pool. I'm able to spend there almost all the day and be happy like a little clam. Being on the town is a retreat from the world, believe me.

By the by, looking at this pictures I've realized that I must take a bit of more care to my hair! It's been totally crazy, curled and frizzy since I came back from my trip, even more you can see on the pictures. You can't imagine my morning wars everyday at Amsterdam trying to tame that. Any hair styling products or ideas anyone? Would be super appreciated!

Spring underwater. It's what I think every time I see this scarf from Louve De Nordneg. When the team of AGORIQUE proposed me this collaboration for their project, I didn't think twice and accepted. Basically because I find it very important to support new designers and help give exposure to their creations. Second because, why not? Sofi Le Geron, the designer behind this brand makes lovely designs, inspired on surrealism, art and nature.

The scarf I'm wearing is named ''Seahorse bouquet'', and is so silky and light that wearing it on a sunny but cool day was such a pleasure. Its pattern not only reminds me of water but also some floral trees we saw last Friday on a trip to the park for our next class projects.

Another thing I love about this scarf is the fact that it's so huge so you can wear it on about 13817813765 ways. Haha, okay, just kidding. But seriously, I think I managed to style it on about 10 different ways on the same morning, you can see some of them below: like a bolero tied on the back, around the neck with a regular knot, like a belt, following the ancient Greek style with a brooch... The square shape makes super easy to play with the scarf and wear it everyday depending on your mood or the weather outside, in a different way of course.
