Chopping my hair before summer was the best idea my silly, messy brain could ever have. Although having the need of ironing and taking care of it quite regularly (but as much as a regular length haircut), it's quite comfortable and easy to wear. However, there are those days when you don't feel like wearing it loose. Or it's just as hot as hell out there that you feel the need of wearing a ponytail, bun, or whatever just to feel a little breeze on your neck and shoulders.

That's the story behind this outfit, and how I ended looking a little bit like this "typical Spanish flamenca" women with my low bun and loop earrings. But, why not? They looked just too fancy and perfect matching this floral tail dress with all its tropical motifs dancing around (here's another way to style it). Sometimes you have to take risky and last hour decisions, and that's what I did here. Soft makeup, comfortable shoes but it ended like the most colorful outfit ever.

Sometimes, the simplest and most unexpected things can flip a whole outfit, isn't it?

Summer has just begun and I've already and literally destroyed my feet. I'm used to wear medium-height heels, mostly flats, boots, or even sneakers, always wearing socks or tights. So, when warm weather comes and it's time to leave bare feet, all I can do is pray. And buy band aids. Tons of them.

That's when flat sandals, and those named "ugly shoes"come to the rescue, helping me walk when beautiful sandals and wedges have done the worst. They're pretty tricky to find, you'll spend hours and hours trying on different shapes, strip sandals and flats, but once you find your comfy summer shoes, you'll never walk alone. That's how I ended buying twice the same pair of shoes in different colors: this silvery ones, and black. And that's how I ended pairing one of my most formal, party black jumpsuits with this ugly (but the most comfortable every) shoes which are meant more for a walk to the beach than for a city stroll. Heels and sandals may stylize your figure, may rise your self esteem to the sky and may look awesome with 99% of your outfits. But changes and something different than the usual are great as well! I'm really happy with how out of the ordinary (that I usually show around here) ended this look.

So... Not in the mood for killing heels but you said yes to the dress? Try on wearing some comfy flat sandals or not-the-most-beautiful shoes in the world and achieve a rebel, unconventional look. Pairing it with more dressy accessories and a statement bag, you'll rock it!

Feels like ages since the last time I wore a leopard print dress! It is not personally my favorite type of pattern (I will always be a faithful, true lover of florals) but cheetah print may be my favorite animal print, and I think it's a really fun and suitable pattern if worn with the right kind (and amount) of jewelry and accessories.

I think there isn't best way on wearing a leopard print dress than pairing it with your most basic, black leather pumps (or sandals) and a neutral bag. It's a pattern that claims for tons of attention, and nobody likes to look like a Christmas Tree! So, no more prints, no more colors: the dress has to talk by itself and claim for all the attention on this outfit. This time I'm also giving you some extra ideas to wear your wooden #JORDwatch! How do you style your leopard print dress? What's your favorite animal print ever?

Since I ended classes I haven't stopped at all doing things. I've been designing things, going out, sleeping (of course) and drawing. I even bought a new hardcover notebook, full of watercolor paper for holidays where I would be able to draw non-stop stuff different than buildings, schemes and façades.

One of the things I really wanted to start on was fashion illustration, and as Dolce & Gabbana have became one of my favorite references ever talking to clothing (their use of textures, shapes, and the topics chosen on every of their collections are pure delight) I decided it would be a nice start to choose one of their advertising campaigns as references. Specifically, one of their Women's 2014 Season, as every of their advertisements look like movie vignettes: not only they're super colorful and stylish, but they also include lots of characters moving, doing things, having curious gestures and expressions. It feels like ages since the last time I attended a local fashion event! Everything feels like a hurricane since I ended classes, and coming back to blogging was a must-to-do thing on my list. Since it's summer (and a really warm one in Valencia, I must say) fashion events, presentations and launch parties surrounded by iced tea, cocktails, friends and nice music have taken over the city. And all I could do about it was to say yes, have fun and tell you everything happening around!

Last Thursday night I was invited to one of the chicest, trendiest party place in Valencia to have a look at two recently graduated fashion designers' collections who are already succeeding and catching everybody's eye at the city. Marcos Gamón (MG Design) and Adrián Cubero (CuberoQuesada) collections are the result of their Final Graduation Project at Barreira A + D school and were first launched about a month ago on a graduation fashion show. Thursday night was their second release on a more relaxed, informal ambient. All I can say is that I'm glad I attended, and I'm thankful I was able to see first hand their effort and hard work during their course. Both collections are different, have different influences, shapes and techniques, but both of them were almost as proficient I thought I was spotting a catwalk on a professional fashion show.

I'm glad I could have the opportunity to meet this two emerging designers and have a really fun night among fashion and friends. It was so terribly warm outside I decided to match my outfit with the tropical, humid weather we're suffering in Valencia with this colorful, patterned midi dress from Ted Baker and my Rondine tote bag, where I'm always able to carry my camera and blogger survival kit. Definitely, a night to remember which may be repeated in coming days for the Chapelle Magazine event!
