Some time ago I shared with you some skincare tips I was following with my prone-to-acne, super sensitive skin and which were pretty effective on me. Today, and as I've been asked by some people lately on how do I take care of my skin, which redness has almost gone away forever, and where I do not have scars or acne signals anymore (and almost any pimple) I'd like to share with you and update on the skincare products I'm currently using. Because, my daily skincare routine is not the same as it was three years ago when that post was written, although it basically has evolved from that, let's call it "first stage". As I always say, if you have problematic skin, my opinion and daily skincare routine may work for you but, first go to your dermatologist for some advice!

Today, I still have a very high-maintenance skin, pretty thin, prone to peel off during winter (yes, like I was a petite, long-haired brunette lizard, which is not very fun), and prone to sensitive zones mixed with oily areas on my T-zone. I've kept the basics on my daily skincare routine, which is disciplined and strictly fulfilled: no cheat days! That doesn't mean I'm obsessed or touching my face every other minute: instead, I follow a three step routine twice a day (morning just after waking up or having breakfast, and evening before heading to bed) which is sometimes completed using a moisturizing lotion by mid-afternoon (only if I feel my skin too tight or dry) or a super specific anti-acne cream just in case there's a lingering zit bothering around.

My three-steps routine is pretty easy and keeps mostly the same morning and evening. First, I softly wash my face with Lush's "Angels on bare skin" cleanser with mild-warm water. There's no need to use a lot of the cleanser since it works well just using a little bit! (That's why I keep it on the fridge for almost three months!). Then, I spread "Tea Tree water" around my face (Lush's too. The amount of product on all the containers is pretty good for its price, they're sensitive-skin friendly and freshly handmade, so it's great!) and let it dry. After dressing and having my breakfast, before doing my makeup I would put on a little bit of Clinique's "Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion", since I've been using it for years, and it still keeps working well for me.

Well, after all the mornings spent on the swimming pool and beach, my hair and skin were getting really dehydrated and damaged (plus, going absolutely on-the-go in, and after Holland), so I needed extra care and some high speed treatments to start repairing all the barbarisms I've committed. You know, summer time is about chilling and forgetting about the routine. Sometimes that include our most basic beauty treatments and rituals, which may get some problems like acne worse (my case).

One of the best things I've ever tried for my hair has been this "Gliss Total Repair" serum from Schwarzkopf. I had been using it ages literally since I discovered it but, once it was finished at home last time, I don't know why but I never bought it again. Luckily I found a new one on the beach house, and started using it again after every hair wash. You might know that there're no miracles when it comes to damaged skin or hair, and it's no less talking about this product but... Well, it does pretty well and has turned some split ends to a decent condition. At least until I visit the hair dresser on coming September! *winks*

Like everything in life, we also make mistakes related to fashion. Sometimes it’s due to ignorance, hurries or limited time to think about... Or just because bad taste. We’ve got used to see ‘’fashion-arghs’’ and ‘’fashion-don’ts’’ almost everywhere, on catwalks and their streetstyle, and because nobody is perfect, sometimes without realizing it, we make them too. I’m not special nor I have the ‘’fashion gift’’ to dress (and I think nobody has) and because of that, today I want to show you 7 typical mistakes that I always fall in when I get dressed in the morning... And I always repeat time after having committed them.

I've totally ruined several pieces because of this fact (foundation and mascara are the worst enemies). Watch out for the light-colored items and if possible, do your makeup routine before you get dressed.

Makeup. Specially when talking about eye makeup, eyeliners, shadows... I'm totally addicted, and I really like to experiment and invent with them. It's not really weird to catch me around home with my whole face covered with green or pink eyeshadow because, oops! Something went wrong on the beauty process.

As I'm thinking about new projects and things coming up for the blog, I thought it would be a great idea to share with you a makeup tutorial like this, just as the beginning of a new era around here which I hope will be as fun and exciting as these three past years with the blog. Stay alert!

So, for those of you who also love creating new eye makeup looks, or just want an idea, here's my proposal for a greenish blue winged eye. Although it's easy as pie to do, t's overdone and sparkly so be careful when wearing it everyday!

Let's begin with the mini-tutorial... For this look I'll be using two different turquoise eyeliners. One of them is like a regular eye-pencil, and the other is called ''precision liner'', which has like a pen tip. This is the key of the sharpened shape in the eye corner!

Skin is somewhat a difficult thing to manage. Staying bright, looking young and fresh may be a real problem, specially when dealing with acne or some pimples when you wake up.

I've had cystic acne for years, and with sensitive skin the way to stop pimples isn't so easy. I've bought zillions of creams and treatments, but which seems to have finally stopped the redness on my face was a visit to my dermatologist and some skin care routine. The doctor gave me a special treatment based on creams from the pharmacy, and one month was enough to see results. So, first of all and aside from following some of my skin care routine tips, I recommend you to ask your doctor for advice, as I am no dermatologist and the tips given here are based on my own experience and skin type.

Then, here some tips I always follow to maintain my skin bright and good-looking:

Makeup. It makes me feel more feminine, and helps to conceal those little flaws in my skin that are always there, like acne scars. It also helps sparkling up my outfits, as I consider a real challenge matching clothes with a makeup that highlights and balances the whole look on the perfect tandem.

But, what to do when your makeup bag has gone out of control? Isn't it awkward to spend three hours in the morning (that you of course, don't have) fighting with your bag to find that concealer or specific eyeshadow? Here are some useful tips to stay organized!

1. The bag. Find a makeup bag you feel comfortable with, and where you can put everything and also see it easily. My new makeup bag (above) only cost my 3$ on a thrift store, and it's the perfect example for this post. It's similar to those which use make up artists and professionals.

2. Makeup rehab. Throw away anything you don't use anymore. Unnecessary items or things that have lapsed its expiration date doesn't have a place on your new makeup bag anymore.

3. Divide and conquer! Divide everything by type: eyeshadows go with eyeshadows, lipsticks with lipsticks... Set aside your daily basics and most used items in another compartment, so you can find them quickly. 

4. Cleaning. Wipe-down the bag with a brush cleaner or a paper towel. Clean your brushes softly and any cosmetic that is dusty or has khôl shavings (it happens often to me).

5. Start over. Once a month empty your bag on the washbowl or in a place you feel comfortable to spread everything around, and make a bag-rehab so everything stays clean on its right place!
