Peter Hahn: creating fashion for 50 years

Setting precedents. Let’s talk about fashion fifty years ago. We’re facing 60’s, an era in which the cheerful, colorful clothes in real life predominates against the still black and White screens of most TVs. Where ‘’flower-power’’ culture is all around and geometric, psychedelic prints on garments take streets.
Oh, that fashion nowadays called ‘’retro’’. For those of you who’ve been following me for a time, you’ll know that thanks to my vintage obsession it’s pretty noticeable how garments and fashion have made an evolution over the years, due to that time needs, culture or sometimes thanks to technology (which is really forgotten when talking about fashion, and it shouldn’t!). Those who lead the changes to approach new stages and sets precedents are entrepreneurs.

This time I wanted to talk to you about a new brand I’ve recently discovered, and which was worn 50 years ago on a German region, thanks to the idea of reinvent knitwear, producing it with one of the best llama hair. Its name was Peter Hahn, and came here to stay. Brands like the one created by Peter Hahn last because of their freshness and high quality. Since the very beginning they offered fashion that people wanted to wear… ¡And absolutely achieved it!

Furthermore, their brand and style have been reinvented, offering not only knitwear but also adding to their products high-luxury brands like Escada or Pretty Ballerinas, among young emerging designers. Although unfortunately the online store is not available for Spain or the United States (someday...) for those of you who live on the UK, France or Germany: yes, you can be tempted.

Meanwhile, I’ll keep falling in love with the designs of their blazers and the geometric prints of many of the dresses, which still have that essence of their rise in the 60’s but with all the good things and news of the XXI century.

So... Do you feel more like trusting in brands like this, with a long history?

The website design is so balanced and simple to navigate on, that I always like to have a look in case there's something new.
